ABOUT
Harp and Olive Market Garden LLC is an 1/8th acre urban farm specializing in the production of local and fresh produce, microgreens, flowers, and herbs utilizing sustainable and regenerative practices including a no till approach coupled with a deep compost mulch system. The Garden was started out of a passion for providing the highest quality and widest variety produce possible locally. The Garden was created and is managed by Frank Giordano, his wife Kayla, their daughter Grace, and their two dogs Harper and Olive.
SOIL HEALTH
Our first and primary focus is the health of the soil on which we grow, which we believe to be the foundation of our farm. We achieve this by utilizing no till methods, cover crop, and rich, high quality compost. Over time, the quality of the soil actually improves and supports a wide variety of life beneath our plants.
SUSTAINABLE AND REGENERATIVE PRACTICES
In addition to our soil building practices we promote biodiversity at Harp and Olive Market Garden. Certain flowers and plants are planted on the property to attract beneficial insects, monarch butterflies, and birds. Although we are not certified organic at this time, we do follow organic growing practices. We do not use synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. We believe a healthy and diverse ecosystem is critical to pest management and the quality of our produce. We farm in sync with nature and never against it.

During the growing season we have an online farm store for you to purchase our products. Offerings will change throughout the year so check back weekly. DreamPort Harvest Market - For our customers that prefer an in person shopping experience, head on over to 223 N. Franklin St., Port Washington where you can find us seasonally along with many other wonderful local farms. A welcoming community space where local farmers provide organic, sustainable, and delicious foods to our community.
